BETTY WAS A LADY AND SHOULD OF BEEN TREATED AS SUCH. SHE GAVE MORE LOVE THEN SHE RECEIVED WHICH IS PROVEN BY HER FILM AND MUSIC CAREER. MAYBE SHE SHOULD OF TAKEN MORE TIME FOR HERSELF AND WE ALL WOULD OF UNERSTOOD BUT BETTY NEVER DID. SHE MAY OF BEEN SMALL IN BODY BUT SO BIG IN SHARING HER TALENTS WITH THE WORLD. WE ARE NEVER ALLOWED TO JUDGE HER KIDS AND BETTY WOULD OF FOUGHT EACH OF US IF WE BAD MOUTHED ONE OF THEM. YES, BETTY WAS A LADY, A MOTHER, A CHRISTAN AND MOST OF ALL A FORGIVING PERSON...

On the 2000 interview w/AMC Betty said her children weren't interested in renewing or repairing the relationships. Everyone deserves forgivness; but what about the three daughter's that she just abandoned b/c she 'didn't know who' she was. I loved her talent, voice, dancing & enthusiasm. She was a better comic than Lucy; but it's clear she was either bipolar or always searching for the 'father' she never had. Too bad her Christianity didn't allow her to acknowlege to her children how sorry she w...

I just watched the Betty's interview on TCM yesterday. I think I've been a Betty Hutton fan since I was a little girl in the 1950's when I saw the Perils of Pauline. She had so much energy and life and there was no one like her! Her interview was so sad and I know she must have suffered from the choices she made in her life. I hope she reconnected with her girls and grandchildren before she died. No one deserves to be alone in death. My heart aches with the pain she must have suffered. My...

I'm 56 and I have college degree in film making as well as a Ph.D. in philosophy. Shamefully, I hadn't seen a Betty Hutton movie until just a few weeks ago when I saw her in "Miracle at Morgan's Creek"
I am now hooked and a big fan.
She was amazing and quite unique.
I intend to watch every one of her movies.

To Bettys children: remember your mother was raised during the Great Depression and that affected all who lived through it. Poverty and the escape from it made your mother become obsessive. Dont blame her. You did'nt walk in her shoes. Walt in San Antonio

I just last week watched the interview with robert osbourne on tmc and God She was so wonderful, her zest for life and love for so apparent so much that I had to find out more about her life since she had been away from the public eye for so long. And I cried , _ said to myself how could this have happened to this talented and wonderful girl. Bettys life was more tormented and difficult than Judy Garlands. But Thank God for the Lord who finally showed her the way and showed his love and we wh...
