To Miss Hutton's daughters, Carolyn Candoli, Candy Briskin, Lindsay Diane Briskin: Whatever the emotional problems were surrounding your relationship with your mother, your actions of unforgiveness choosing estrangement from her certainly only continued the unhappiness for all involved including your own children. Were your children taught something valuable to their character by not having any contact with your mother? Now your mom is gone and you will live with the knowledge you turned your back on her for what you believe was "for your own good" and the good of your family. Were you right in that conclusion? Surely, GOOD could have come from love and compassion and forgiveness on your part? So in lieu of your unloving actions, what may I ask did your mother do, that you have done better than her? Too bad she did not meet your expectations. I hope you are glad you punished her and stood for your own justification. May God forgive you and teach your own children to love and forgive. It is clear you could never do that yourself. Love is not conditional. Jesus died for every person and he proved love is not conditional. I pray you realize that before you pass on.
