Lupe Santiago was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a caring and loving individual who always put others before herself. She loved children and fought for their safety and well being. She saved lives.
She loved to laugh and make people laugh. She loved playing jokes and kidding around.
She returned to heaven to continue her role here on earth: an angel.

GOING HOME
Small and frail with a knowing smile
she said I'm going home.
Don't weep, don't wail, don't mourn for me
You see, I'm going home.

Of course I know you'll miss me..
If I weren't so tired, I'd stay
But you see, my Lord has called me
He came to light my way.

I'm going home my dear ones
Someday you'll understand
I really must be going
He's here to take my hand.

Be kind to one another
Love each and everyday
Remember me, your mother,
And take the time to pray.

I'm going home today.

A letter to my family

I wanted to write a letter to you
sent down from up above
And let you know how things are and
Send to you my love

I am happy now all pain is gone and
loneliness is no more
Family and friends were waiting for me
When I passed through the door

They rejoiced when they saw me
We walked hand in hand
Down streets made of pure gold

I know you will miss me
And your heart will ache
But ties are not broken
And memories don’t break

Remember this isn’t the end
You still have each other
Stay strong in the Lord
And we’ll be together again

A family we are and always will be
No matter if it is one or three
When you get together give each other a kiss
and tell them it is from me.

Love, Mother

We took our vows together
Said, "Till death do us part",
But when God came and took your hand
My whole world fell apart.
No one knows the heartache
I try so hard to hide,
Only God knows how many times
I've broken down and cried.
When I look back upon our lives
One of the things that makes me glad,
That you chose me to share with you
The precious years we had.
