I feel that losing a loved one in death is one of the hardest experiences we as humans go through, and my heart goes out to you and your family as you make the effort to go on without one so dear to you. At a time like this turning to our creator is a source of strength and comfort because he promises to completely reverse the effects of death and do away with death forever. In the Bible at Revelation 21:4 the promise is made that "death will be no more..." What a wonderful prospect that we have to live at a time when we won't have to be concerned about this enemy. Other heart warming promises are made in the Bible. They all give us reason to look to the future with full confidence. To mention just a few, please read Psalms 37:9,10; Proverbs 2:21,22 also Isaiah 65:21-25. As we see conditions in the world get worse and worse be assured that these and other promises in God's word are getting nearer and nearer to fulfillment, as Jesus said at Matthew 24:33-35 and not one word of them will pass away without being fulfilled. May these promises bring comfort and hope to you as they do for me and millions of others.
